Medieval Mania – All Your Knight Needs

If you know someone who is heavily into medieval paraphenalia then everything you could want is available from King of Swords.

I have some friends who belong to a club that celebrates the old ways and they regularly attend and take part in jousting tournaments, medieval picnic days and dinner parties.  Everyone dresses up in medieval costume and has loads of fun.

The women wear the attire of days gone by and the men wear chainmail and armour. Lots of mead gets drunk and the crowd are fed with meat cooked over an open fire pit.

Even the kids are catered for with games such as ‘Catch the greasy pig’, sheep riding. There are people dressed as jokers who entertain the crowds with their wit and sarcasm, poking fun at all and sundry.

Them men of couse take part in ‘manly’ sports to show their prowess with the sword. Others take part in the woodchopping competitions.

Its a day of continual entertainment and partying, and everyone is thoroughly exhausted at the end of the day. But its that pleasant exhaustion that comes from having been entertained and participating in some rather strenuous exercises.
