twilight-soundtrackI guess there aren’t too many people around who haven’t seen the movie Twilight, or read Stephanie Meyers Twilight Saga Collection about modern day Vampires living in Forks,  Washington, USA.

I saw the movie and although I thought it was just so-so, I went on to read all four books after being told by my granddaughter that the books made the movie more understandable. Well I couldn’t put the books down and yes they did clarify some of the points in the movie that I hadn’t fully grasped.

I have since watched the movie a number of times and it is one of those movies that you just seem to enjoy without really knowing why. At first I thought the movie had been miscast, especially Bella, but now I feel the characters are suited to who the characters they portray. Robert Pattison, who was Cedric in Harry Potter, is well suited to the role of Edward the glistening 17 year old vampire.

I read somewhere  that Robert Pattison felt he had been miscast as Edward, who is supposedly  the perfect man, and he felt that Zac Efron would have been better suited to the role.  I have to totally disagree, Robert is what I would classify as an actor, Zac is just a pretty face in my book  and I personally don’t believe he has the depth to carry off this part.
