As I have mentioned previously I love candles and have a large number of unique candleholders.
My family and friends always know that I appreciate receiving candles in a variety of aromas.
I feel it is important to have candle holders that are not only decorative but safe as well and so I like to take my time when selecting a new unique style candleholder.
I have a variety of tea light holders for use in the bathroom and a very attractive black wrought iron wall sconce in a circular pattern that holds 11 small pillar candles. My tea light candle holders are in a variety of designs in materials such as glass, ceramic and pottery.
Beautifully scented candles and a unique candle holder will make a welcome gift for any occassion and especially as a gift for a house warming or bridal shower.
Candlelight sets the mood for a romantic evening at home and creates a serene atmosphere.

Adding a lamp or two to a room is not only a practical solution to creating a soft ambience or a flood of light for reading or craft work. Lamps will certainly add some light but why settle for just any old style lamp when you can add a touch of class and style by choosing a truly unique looking lamp.
When my girls were little they each had different interests, one loved horses and the other had more random interests, so I made sure that each had decor to suit their personality and this included lamps unique to each girls taste. My grandaughter is an Elvis fan so she was delighted when she received this Elvis Lamp Animated
as a gift.
Elvis dances and sings when the on/off button is pressed so she finds it an absolute delight. Its such a simple thing, adding a unique lamp to a room but it is amazing just how it adds to the ambiance and the pleasure a lamp can provide.
There are so many lovely styles of lamps available with bases made in a variety of materials from the traditinal wood base to the more modern styling in plastic and stainless steel. And of course the same goes for the shades.
When I was a child the shades were hard plastic or some sort of pleated, stiffened fabric and they weren’t particularly appealing. Of course when we went away for the weekend to our holiday hangout we were reduced to using kerosene lamps and candlelight as there wasn’t any electricity available. In which case the shades were made from toughened glass.
