Stargate Memorabilia for the Stargate Fan
For someone like me who is a total fan of Stargate SG – 1 and Stargate Atlantis it is great to have access to all manner of memorabilia relating to the shows.
Apart from the Stargate SG1 & Stargate Atlantis
DVD’s and Blu Ray Movies there is a whole range of clothing, dog tags, action figures, coffee mugs and just about anything you can think of to decorate your Stargate memorabilia room with.
We attended one of the recent Stargate conventions in Vancouver, Canada and had a great time. Of course we purchased quite a few Stargate items including t-shirts, promotional shots and even a huge banner of Michael Shanks. Fortunately you don’t have to attend a convention to get access to Stargate memorabilia. Everything is available online.
Now what Stargate fan doesn’t have a poster of their favorite team, which in my case is the original cast. This is an absolute must for starters.
Here are just a few other Stargate suggestions for you:
Who wouldn’t love to keep cozy and warm in this Stargate – SG-1 Wings – Pullover Hoodie which has Stargate wings design and SG1 embroidered on the front.
Made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester so not only is it warm it is easy to clean.
The hoodie is available in various sizes from small through to xxx large, so their is sure to be a size that will fit you comfortable.
This great looking hoodie is also available in a number of different colors such as an assortment of blues, white, forest green, pink etc.
Or how about drinking your favorite beverage out of this Stargate SG-1 Ceramic Disappearing Coffee Mug
Fill the mug with cold beverage to see the shadow image of the space travelers.
Fill it with something hot, they vanish and “Go for the Gate!” appears. The Stargate logo is on the back of the mug.
The Stargate Disappearing mug holds 12 ounces of liquid.

And of course an absolute must have is this Stargate SG-1 Zinc Silver Gate Necklace which is made from zinc with a silver ball necklace.
The pendant is double sided sided and showcases every detailof the gate.
The Pendant measures approx. 1.25 inches in diameter and hangs from an 24-inch chain.
So there you are, just a very few of the items available to give you some gift giving ideas for your Stargate fan.

Dr Who – A tribute to the Years of Fantastic Drs and Companions
I am an avid Dr Who fan from way, way back. I have followed Dr Who since the days of William Hartnell.
So much of the early days were lost or incomplete because of incorrect storage at the time, especially many of the episodes starring Patrick Troughton.
As the doctors have changed over the years, so to have the doctors companions and the menacing aliens who are forever trying to enslave mankind, you know the ones I mean:
The Daleks, who were scary enough when I was a kid and who have now morphed into an even greater, more challenging enemy.
The Cybermen with their mindless, robotic threat to all and sundry – coldly logical.
And of course The Master, a renegade Time Lord and the nemesis of the Doctor.
With each series I am always a little concerned that the new doctor and any new companions won’t be up to the same standard as the previous ones. But I have to say I do like the new doctor ( David Tennant), and Rose is a hard act to follow.
I know that if someone gave me a boxed set of any of the series, I would be most appreciative. It’s good to see that the older series are being released on DVD so if you have a friend who is a Dr Who fan these would make and ideal gift.
And of course there is a great range of Doctor Who books for the avid reader who is also a Dr who fan.
Actors who have played Dr Who are:
| William Hartnell | the first doctor | 23 November 1963 – 29 October 1966 |
| Patrick Troughton | the second doctor | 29 October 1966 – 21 June 1969 |
| Jon Pertwee | the third doctor | 3 January 1970 – 8 June 1974 |

| Peter Davison | the fifth doctor | 21 March 1981 – 16 March 1984 |
| Colin Baker | the sixth doctor | 16 March 1984 – 6 December 1986 |
| Sylvester McCoy | the seventh doctor | 7 September 1987 – 6 December 1989 & the May 1996 Doctor Who television movie |
| Paul McGann | the eighth doctor | 27 May 1996 in the Doctor Who television movie |
| Christopher Eccleston | the ninth doctor | 26 March – 18 June 2005 |
